Agrarian Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered 5 bills at the last meeting

At the last meeting the Agrarian Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered five bills, three of which are its specialization. This is reported by the correspondent АgroРolit.com.

We list the bills and their main purpose.

Bill №4922 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Optimizing the System of Public Administration in the Sphere of Agriculture", submitted for consideration by the Committee on first reading, was supported by the deputies as a basis. The draft law proposes to amend dozens of laws to bring legislation in the field of agriculture in line with the concept of reforming the system of central executive bodies in 2014. The draft law, in particular, addresses the problem of redistributing the functions of the de facto liquidated State Agricultural Inspection between other bodies, and certain powers of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The Committee also supported in the first reading the anti-raider bill №8121 "On Amendments to the Land Code of Ukraine and some other legislative acts to counter raids". The bill proposes to introduce a number of anti-raid measures and establish effective measures to protect the property rights of land owners and users in order to prevent unlawful takeover and seizure of enterprises in the agricultural sector of the economy, as in recent years the raider seizure of land and property of agricultural enterprises has become threatening for the country's economy.

Bill № 6055 "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On State Support of Agriculture of Ukraine" was supported as a basis and in general. They are invited to recast part of the provisions of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On State Support of Agriculture of Ukraine", which defines the powers and functions of the Agrarian Fund.

Bill №3871 "On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Ban on the Use of Palm Oil in the Food Industry" was supported as a basis. The purpose of the bill is to clarify a direct ban on the use of palm oil in the production of food, milk and dairy products, and the establishment of administrative responsibility for the offense.

The draft law №2406а "On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine Relating to the Exemption from Taxation of Firewood, Issued to the Population for Household Needs" was supported as a basis and as a whole. It is aimed at reducing the consumption of imported natural gas by the population and strengthening Ukraine's energy independence.
