The State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre summed up the interim results of the process of transferring state agricultural land to communal property of united territorial communities, initiated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in February, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported.
As of October 1, 2018 479 united territorial communities received communal ownership of agricultural land outside the settlements with a total area of more than 938.7 thousand hectares. At the moment the schedule for the transfer of state agricultural lands to the communal property of united territorial communities in the Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions is fully implemented.
As noted by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Maksym Martyniuk, the land administration authorities took over the organization of the land registration, and the cost of the inventory was compensated by the government. “This is a high-quality transmission, as a result of which the united territorial communities receive properly executed land plots with cadastral numbers, clear boundaries, and are ready for adoption on a balance sheet. We expect effective management of this resource by local governments, and we will monitor the real use of united territorial communities lands, in particular, monitor the dynamics of rental rates,” he noted.
By the end of 2018, the transfer of agricultural land to another 183 united territorial communities is planned.
