If the area of fertile black earths of Ukraine is distributed to all the inhabitants of the country, then 61 people will be per hectare.

Such calculations were made by the specialists of the National Research Center "Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry named after A.N. Sokolovskyi”. Only Russia exceeds the Ukrainian indicator, there are 102 people per hectare. In Canada, this figure is 22 people. In the United States of America - 18, in Romania - 7, China - 3, and in Poland and Germany, 1 hectare of black soil accounts for 1 person.

If we take into account that in Ukraine besides b, which have a high level of fertility and account for 60% of the arable land, there are other types of soils, then 1 person per 1 hectare will be calculated.

Scientists in the calculation took into account the total area of Ukraine - 60.4 million hectares and the population - 45.6 million.
