58 inspectors of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection received the qualification of the leading auditors of the HACCP

Representatives of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection after a 3-year training course received certificates from the leading auditors of the HACCP system for food enterprises. The training was carried out by the Project, which is funded by the European Union - "Improving the Food Safety Control System".

Participation in the presentation of certificates was received by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration Olha Trofimtseva, Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Administration Volodymyr Lapa, Head of the EU Project "Improving the Food Safety Control System in Ukraine" Tony Will and Head of the Sector Agriculture of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Christian Hell , experts who took part in the training.

During 2015-2016, the EU Project organized a general training course on conducting audits for 500 representatives of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection from all regions of Ukraine. Based on the results of independent final testing, 318 inspectors received the qualification of the auditor of HACCP.

In 2017, for those inspectors who showed the best results, training was conducted on in-depth study of HACCP. Participants, in addition to the theoretical course, had a practical - with the visit to the enterprises for conducting pilot audits. After independent testing, 60 inspectors of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection received the qualification of the leading auditor of the HACCP. It is expected that the leading knowledge and experience gained by the leading auditors will be passed on to their colleagues in the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The European Union also financed the development and implementation of an information system for planning and conducting inspections for the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. This will become a logical component of the unified national data management system of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

Thanks to the correct implementation of the HACCP system by market operators and new approaches to state control, the Ukrainian consumer will have the opportunity to accept safe products, and the Ukrainian producer - the opportunity to enter the European and world markets.
