474 investment projects are implemented in the agro-industrial complex for 41 billion UAH

As of the beginning of the year 474 investment projects with a total value of almost 41.3 billion UAH have been implemented in the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine. Completion of these projects will create about 16,000 new jobs. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

The main source of financing of capital investments is the own means of producers (74.3%). The cost of investment projects varies from 0.1 million to 9.6 billion UAH.

The greatest activity of investment activity is observed in Vinnytsia (UAH 6.3 billion of capital investments), Kyiv (1.1 billion UAH), Poltava (0.6 billion UAH), Cherkasy (0.4 billion UAH) and Sumy (0.4 billion UAH) regions.

The largest number of such projects is being implemented in Poltava (69 units), Lviv (64 units), Vinnytsia (48 units), Chernivtsi (43 units) and Cherkasy (41 units).

Investment projects are implemented in the following areas:

 - development of cattle breeding - 112 units (23.6% of the total);

- development of pig production - 59 units (12.4%);

- development of poultry farming - 27 units (5.7%);

- processing, storage of grain and industrial crops - 88 units (18.6%);

- vegetable and fruit storage - 58 units (12.2%);

- perennial plantations - 20 units (4.2%);

- irrigation - 14 units (3%)
