38% of eggs in Europe are Ukrainian

At the beginning of 2018 Ukraine became the largest exporter of eggs to the European Union, providing 38% of the total supply of these products. This is reported by the Polish Radio according to agropolit.com.

It is reported that according to the European Commission, only in January of this year, Ukrainian producers exported 874 tons of eggs and egg products to the EU, which is several times higher than in January 2017.

At the same time, Ukrainian exports exceeded even those of the United States, a multi-year leader in the supply of egg products to the European Union.

It is also reported that almost 300 Ukrainian enterprises, including food producers, in particular, producers of poultry meat, fish, honey, eggs, milk and dairy products, have the right to export to the EU countries.

The export of Ukrainian goods to the EU in 2017 have increased by 29.9% and amounted to $17.5 billion. This is 40.5% of the total sales of Ukrainian goods abroad.

The export of Ukrainian products to the EU in January-February 2018 have increased by 28.1% or by 224.7 million and reached $1.025 billion.
