Most of the concentrations in 2017 occurred in the market of acceptance, storage and primary processing of crops. This was reported by the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (the AMCU) Yurii Terentiev during the round table "The state of competition in agricultural markets", the correspondent of AgroPolit.com reported.

During the event the head of the AMCU announced the data on how 157 applications were distributed over 2017. Thus, the leading positions of the main markets on which concentrations took place were occupied by:

1. Acceptance, storage and primary processing of crops - 27 applications.

2. Market for the production of seeds of agricultural crops - 7 applications.

3. Market for dairy products - 5 applications and the market for cattle, production/procurement of whole milk - 5 applications.

"Large concentrations are in the livestock market, it is problematic. Those studies that we conduct at the AMCU indicate that in certain markets there are signs of an oligopolistic structure. It is being investigated if there are any signs of abuse or monopoly. Last year the market of livestock production received fewer applications than in the markets related to crop production," Yurii Terentiev said.
