For the first time in the history of independent governments, a clear vision of supporting farming was formed, because it is not just business, but a certain culture.

This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Maksym Martyniuk during a briefing on September 19 in Kiev, the correspondent of AgroPolit.com reports.

It bears reminding that for the needs of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy 13.4 billion UAH were included into budget in 2018. According to him, the main emphasis is on supporting farming precisely because it creates new jobs in the villages.
Then we will break the demographic problem and develop the infrastructure. The development of farming is equal to the development of rural areas, he has stressed.

He also added that it was planned to achieve not only an increase in jobs, but also performance indicators.
While farmers cultivate 20% of agricultural land, they produce 6-7% of agrarian GDP. That is why they need state assistance for state re-equipment and development, the first deputy minister has said.

According to him, in no country in the world farmers fill a large number of securities. Therefore, in Ukraine, you need to simplify the accounting system.
Then the number of farms will increase, Maksym Martyniuk has summed up.
