On October 5, Ukraine was the first Eastern Partnership to join the single digital market of the EU.
This was reported by People’s Deputy Oleksii Mushak on his Facebook page.

It bears reminding that in Ukraine a database of owners of all companies was opened.

In the European Union in 2014, it was decided to create a single digital market. For this purpose, directive 910/2014 "On electronic identification and trust services for the purposes of electronic transactions in the domestic market" was adopted.

Therefore, on October 5, Ukraine was the first Eastern Partnership to harmonize its legislation in this area.

According to Mushak, first of all Ukrainian enterprises are able to sign electronic agreements with companies from WTO member countries.

"Goodbye, transfer of waste paper through DHL. Now, according to Article 14 of the Directive, Ukraine has the opportunity to start negotiations on the mutual recognition of electronic trust services. With the Ukrainian electronic signature through the tablet it will be possible to sign agreements in Europe. How to buy a house on the French Riviera, and apply for a master's program at a European university, let alone the possibility of access to a digital market of tens of billions of euros, «explains the People's Deputy.

He adds that electronic document management will be much simpler and more accessible. Ukrainian companies will also be able to translate all their agreements into electronic format.

"Again, the law gives grounds for the active implementation of Mobile ID and Bank ID. This is a repetition of the advanced Scandinavian experience. As Ukrainian banks and mobile operators have been ready for this for a long time, but, of course, there is still much to be done. And the irrevocable beginning is already laid ", concludes Oleksii Mushak.
