It is necessary to spend money not on trifles, but on the creation of a fund for assistance to agriculture in Ukraine. This was told by the ex-Minister of Agrarian Policy of Lithuania Kazys Starkevičius in an exclusive interview "After the market is opened, the land will cost € 5-10 thousand" for AgroPolit.com.
"There are 42 million hectares of agricultural land in Ukraine. The land market is huge money and resources for Ukraine, for agriculture, which, in a good sense, can make a "world bomb" for your economy. There is no need to waste money that you get from selling land. You should create a special fund to help agriculture, such as in the European Union. 42% of the entire budget of the European Union enters their fund", the ex-minister said.
According to Kazys Starkevičius, Ukraine needs reform, which will give impetus. Politicians must decide how much land can everyone have, and economists should count everything. Finance needs to be channeled into business, to the economy, and then it is possible to create and strengthen cooperation, processing, work well at the expense of cooperation development, so that there is an opportunity to help agriculture. The money should be used in various programs, according to which people should be secured, so that there is no fraud, as it once happened in Lithuania.
