According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in the beginning of autumn there was a significant rise in price of salo, pork and butter. In total for the first days of autumn, more than ¾ of all social products became more expensive.

This was announced by the director of the Ukrainian Association of Trade Network Suppliers Oleksii Doroshenko on his Facebook page.

In Kiev it can be purchased for 104 UAH / kg, and in Ternopil - for 32 UAH / kg. The difference in price is more than three times, or "space" price of 72 UAH, the expert has said.

Also, according to him, for the first ten days of September pork added 2.6 UAH in price and now costs 104 UAH / kg.
The fluctuation of the cost between the regions is 19 UAH: in Kyiv a “social "pork with bone costs 114.7 UAH / kg, and in Ternopil - 95.7 UAH / kg, Doroshenko has said.
In addition, butter increased in price by almost 3 UAH. Now its average price is 147.2 UAH. / kg.
However, prices in the regions fluctuate sharply.

Doroshenko also noted that there is the rise in price of other types of meat.

By more than 1 UAH went up the price of: beef - by 1.5 UAH, chicken eggs and chicken in the carcass - by 1.1 UAH. Now the average price of "social" beef with bone is 109.8 UAH / kg, and the eggs C1-C2 are 17.9 UAH for a dozen, chicken carcasses are 55 UAH / kg, the expert has said.
Price of some vegetables also began to grow. Beets and carrots added 40 and 30 kopecks respectively.
From now on, beet costs 5.2 UAH / kg, and carrots - 8.2 UAH / kg. There is a a significant difference in prices among regions even for these products, Doroshenko has said.
The highest price for beets in the Chernivtsi region is 7.4 UAH / kg, and the lowest price in the Zaporizhzhia region is 3.7 UAH / kg. Carrots are the most expensive in Bukovyna - 9.6 UAH / kg, and the cheapest is in Mykolaiv region - 6,3 UAH / kg.

The only product that has fallen in price by more than 20 kopecks are potatoes. For the first ten days of September, it has fallen in price by 25 kopecks and its average price is 6.7 UAH / kg. If analyzed in the context of regions, the potato leader - the city of Kiev from 8.3 UAH / kg, and the outsider Rivne - 4.8 UAH / kg,. Doroshenko has said.
In general, according to him, for the first days of autumn more than ¾ of all social products were more expensive, which is expected, but undesirable for the consumer.
Since the prices for food in Ukraine often exceed those of Eastern Europe, the government needs to use new mechanisms to influence the market, for example, reducing the VAT rate from 20 to 5-7%, the expert has concluded.
