The Association of Livestock Breeders of Ukraine met with the delegation of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Lithuania)

Today, on September 18, the Livestock Association met with the delegation of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (Lithuania) and representatives of Lithuanian companies engaged in the production and export of meat.

The meeting was focused on the establishment of Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation in the field of livestock, the possibility of purchasing Lithuanian meat (cattle, sheep, poultry) from Ukrainian producers for export to the Middle East, North Africa, China and other countries. Lithuania is an important trading partner of Ukraine with colossal prospects for investment cooperation.
 
Representatives of the Association of Livestock Breeders of Ukraine and Lithuanian guests discussed the prospects for the development of foreign markets for Ukrainian livestock business; in particular, the great demand for meat from such countries as the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran, Turkey and China was mentioned. They also talked about the current prices in the meat market, the specifics of the demand for meat from each country and the requirements of the importing countries to the product, the terms of logistics and the possibility of cooperation with Ukrainian state bodies with the aim of securing the emergence of Ukrainian meat producers in new markets.
 
Following the meeting, it was agreed on further cooperation for building partnership relations between the Lithuanian and Ukrainian livestock business. Cooperation will consist in establishing contacts and consultations between Ukrainian manufacturing enterprises and Lithuanian export companies. Such cooperation will allow further opening of new export opportunities for Ukrainian meat producers.
